Joyable Program Overview

What you’ll actually do, and why

1. Meet Your Dedicated Coach

Start the program with an optional 30-minute kick-off call, or just interact by text and email. Talk to your coach about how social anxiety affects you and what you want to get out of the program.

Jill was incredibly helpful to have as a coach. Her knowledge of and interest in feedback regarding the Joyable method helped me to feel safe enough to accept her help. Emma, Writing Tutor

2. Understand Your Social Anxiety

Identify specific social situations that make you anxious, and learn how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help reduce that anxiety. Understand your triggers and how you can control them.

Getting educated about social anxiety is one of the biggest perks. Knowing what’s going on and what you’re dealing with. Before, not knowing made it even worse. Brett, Sales Representative

3. Learn the Key Skills

Learn to identify and restructure the thoughts that make you anxious so they feel less overwhelming. You’ll learn techniques to reduce your anxiety in any situation so you can lead the life you want.

I’m fortune-telling less (that’s an important change). I don’t believe in psychics, so it’s pretty amazing that I so often believed I could accurately guess what others were thinking. It’s been very helpful to focus on that thinking error. Doug, Father

4. Challenge Your Anxiety

Practice the key skills that you’ve learned, such as identifying thinking errors and restructuring anxious thoughts. Use these techniques in a variety of social settings to get the most benefit from the program.

Frankly, I’m amazed at my own progress. In the early days, I was always concerned that I had to act and speak perfectly, or else people would think I was weird. While this thought does continue to pop up when I think about doing things, I am now able to dismiss it almost instantly. Brian, College Student

5. Achieve Your Goals

Work toward your goals, starting with situations that are a little anxious and moving on to more anxious situations as you become more comfortable. Gain confidence and focus on what matters to you.

The exposures forced me to participate in things I might have otherwise avoided, and the results were always more positive than I would have imagined. Facing fear does make it dissolve. Rick, Product Designer

6. Lock In Your Gains

Learn how to maintain the gains you’ve achieved and incorporate CBT into your daily life. Lock in the benefits, which can last for over 10 years.

THANK YOU! Not just for the changes in my life, but also for your time, effort, and genuine kindness. Stephen, Carpenter
